It's been a few days since my last update, I will do my best to not let this happen that often. I was mesmerized by this photo of Susan Coffey by Sideshowsito for a long time and I couldn't help but to use it as a study. I worked on it over a few nights, putting in roughly 2-3ish hours. It's not very accurate, but my goal was to try and recreate the mood, and that beautiful gaze.

Seven Swords faceoff

It's been a while, but I'm going to finally use the account to log my progress, and hopefully get better. Here's the first long due update, a color study from a movie called "Seven Swords." Roughly about half hour or so.

A game I'm pretty proud of as I created all the art. It was a lot of art. It also turned out to be a really funny game and became top 3 in Yahoo!'s QuickPlay area.

This was created for Pangaea Corp to promote their new social network site. The characters were provided but I had to take that style and develop a whole commerical with it. I had a bit of help by Phill Simon, my creative director in composting and effects, but animations and backgrounds were all done by yours truly.

Before Mondo Studios

Before Mondo Studios, I was lucky enough to be a working intern at Leapfrog where I was part of a wonderful team and worked on a few projects, the most notable being Wall-E, of which I created and rigged Wall-E and Eve as well as did some animation for the ingame cinematics. The other projects I created backgrounds, designed UI and game levels here and there, but it was fairly minimal.

I've worked on quite a few games as the lead artist over at Mondo Studios for the last year and half as the lead artist, with latest being Friskies Wonderland Quest that was just released. With the exception of Friskies, where I had the luxury of having a second artist to help me with animation and cleaning up the mattes, I was generally the animator, concept artist, matte painter, designer and well, pretty much anything art related. This wasn't bad at all as it gave me freedom to do what I felt was good and allowed me to learn and experiment with different art styles.

I was also lucky to work on a promotional game for Honda to try and educate people on it's new Insight and the car's new ECO drive functions and was featured in their promotional site "Adventures in Efficiency"

I also worked on a quiz game that was developed for Nickelodeon that helped you figured out what kind of parent you are. I realized that I was a fixer.
